Made in His image. Transformed by His love. Spreading the gospel of Christ through deed and in word.

The Central Church of Christ is a group of Christians who believe Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God, and that through Him we have our salvation and hope.

We aspire to walk as God's image bearers, loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, and might. We are being transformed as Christ makes His home in us, growing together into the fullness of God as we spread His gospel with the world not only in word, but in deed.

We invite you to come, see, and become part of our family — and to enjoy the fellowship we share with one another.

  • God, as the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, has made all humanity in His image and put in each one of us the desire to seek and find Him.
  • God sent His Son to live as a human, Jesus, to show us what it means to be a child of God. His teachings show us how to live and love as God's children.
  • Jesus experienced what it means to be human so he could empathize with our struggles. He struggled with the same temptations we do and, by overcoming them while human, showed us the way to the life we were intended to have.
  • Jesus calls us to follow him: to learn from him what it means to be what God intends us to be, especially in how we treat those around us, all of whom were created in God's image.
  • When a person responds to the call of Jesus by committing to follow him, to seek to be transformed into his image and to be joined to him in baptism, they are added by God to His kingdom, which exists on Earth as the church.
  • God has made us more than fellow citizens of God's kingdom. We are also members of His family, called by Jesus to show His love and light to others.
  • As God's family, we meet regularly to encourage each other in song, to remember Jesus' death for us, to express our praise and needs to God in prayer and to be built up by the teaching of God's Word.
  • While weekly meetings are important, we recognize the need for time to celebrate being brought together as a family. We share meals, we enjoy each other's company and share God's love with others in word and deed.
  • We join voices to praise God and encourage one another in song.
  • We offer praise and petition to God.
  • We celebrate Jesus' love for us and proclaim His death and coming return as we share in the Lord's Supper.
  • We present a lesson from God's Word designed to encourage and challenge us to live as His people.
  • We're more concerned with the inner person than with fashion choices. Casual, modest attire is the norm.
